The Wiese Foundation announces the second edition of the "School and Identity" Fair, an educational and cultural event of great relevance that will take place at the El Brujo Archaeological Complex on Sunday, October 1, 2023 .
The "School and Identity" Fair constitutes a comprehensive initiative of the Wiese Foundation, aimed at enshrining the link between education and culture, celebrating the learning of students, teachers and members of the Ascope community in La Libertad. This event brings together the educational community, master artisans, wise men and women, and the entire community of the area of influence of the El Brujo Archaeological Complex, who, with their work and knowledge, make possible this valuable space for linking and disseminating our cultural heritage.
The main objective of the II School and Identity Fair is the dissemination of the learning projects conducted by students from 14 schools in the province of Ascope, within the framework of the project called "School and Identity". This project is an integral part of the Educational Quality Program promoted by the Wiese Foundation. Through this Fair, we seek to highlight the efforts and achievements of the students of these educational institutions in the promotion of cultural identity and in the improvement of the quality of education in the region. This Fair is carried out in partnership with the Regional Management Office of Education of La Libertad and the UGEL (Local Educational Management Unit) of Ascope, aligned with objective 4 of the SDG to improve the quality of education in Ascope.
This edition, also includes the II "El Brujo" Handicraft and Tourism Fair, which will have the participation of local exhibitors from the fields of tourism, gastronomy, transport and handicrafts. They will share the proposals of interactive activities conducted especially for the visitors. These proposals are the result of a training process aimed at tourism service providers and artisans from Magdalena de Cao, which started at the beginning of 2023 thanks to the management by the Operations Directorate of the El Brujo Archaeological Complex and the Wiese Foundation.
